Dr. Ken Alford 

Senior Pastor

Dr. Ken Alford came to serve as the Senior Pastor of Crossroads in May of 2005. A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Dr. Alford is graduate of Troy State University. He received both the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He came to Crossroads after serving as a Senior Pastor of three different churches in Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida over a period of 21 years. While in Florida, Dr. Alford served terms as President of the Florida Pastors' Conference, President of the Florida Baptist Convention, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the North American Mission Board. He is currently serving as a member of the Executive Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention. Dr. Ken, as he is affectionately known, is married to the former Cynthia Johnson of Mobile, Alabama. They have two married adult children, Elizabeth, married to Bernabe Tucker, and Andrew, married to the former Amanda Thomas.


Rev. Zack Hamsley 

Music & Media Pastor


Zack came to serve as the Music and Media pastor of Crossroads in August 2013. Zack first came on Crossroads' staff in 2009 as the Music Assistant, then in 2012 became the Music and Media Associate. Born and raised in Hawkinsville, GA, Zack came to Valdosta in 2007 to study at Valdosta State University and graduated in 2012 with a Bachelors of Arts in Intercultural Communication. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Music and Worship through Liberty University. Zack recently married the former Lauren Edwards of Eufaula, AL in October 2013. 






Rev. Ross Cook 

Youth Pastor

Ross Cook came to serve as the Youth and College Pastor at Crossroads in September of 2006. He had served as a Youth Ministry Associate for two years at Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia, the church that produced the popular Christian film, Facing the Giants. Ross had served as a Youth Intern at Sherwood while in college. He also served for four years as the Youth Minister at Liberty Baptist Church in Albany and for one year as the Program Associate and Youth Outreach Worker for World Vision in Albany. A native of Albany, Ross received the Associate of General Studies degree from Darton College there. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Georgia Southwestern and State University in Americus, GA. He is married to the former Wendy Bledsoe of Tifton, GA. They are the parents of two elementary school-aged daughters, Kylie and Kolbie, and one pre-school aged daughter, Kate.

Rev. Matt Gay 

College and Young Adults Pastor

Matt Gay came to serve as college pastor of Crossroads in July 2012. Matt previously served on staff at Crossroads as an intern to our youth and college students in 2008. A native of Wrens, GA, Matt moved to Valdosta in 2004 and graduated in 2009 from Valdosta State University with a Bachelors of Science in Health and Physical Education. Matt also had the privilege of working with our neighboring ministry, The Mailbox Club. He recently married the former Meredith Moore in May 2012. They are the proud parents of their newborn baby girl, Riley Jane.
